Application demand of stainless steel pipe
1. Automobile industry
Stainless steel is mainly used in the exhaust system, accounting for more than 1/2 of the total amount of automotive stainless steel, and 80% is ferritic stainless steel. The exhaust gas generated by the automobile engine flows out of the muffler through the exhaust gas intake pipe, front pipe, hose, converter and center pipe. Common steel grades of exhaust system include 409L, 436L, etc. Automobile muffler mainly uses stainless steel welded pipe. It is estimated that the Stainless Steel Pipes used in automobiles account for about 1.5% of the total amount of stainless steel pipes used in the downstream, while the proportion of stainless steel seamless pipes and welded pipes is about 2:1
2. Petrochemical industry including chemical fertilizer industry
There is a large demand for stainless steel pipes. The industry mainly uses stainless steel seamless pipes. The specifications include 304, 321, 316, 316L, 347, 317L, etc. The outer diameter is about ¢ 18 – ¢ 610, and the wall thickness is about 6mm – 50mm (generally, the medium and low pressure transmission pipes with the specification aboveΦ 159mm are selected). The specific application fields are: furnace pipes, material delivery pipes, heat exchanger pipes, etc
3. Fluid transportation such as water and gas
Stainless steel pipes and their water delivery equipment are very good basic water purification materials with strong corrosion resistance. Cast iron pipes, Carbon Steel Pipes, plastic pipes, etc. can not be compared with them
Water preparation, storage, transportation, purification, regeneration, seawater desalination and other water industry materials. The annual demand is about 25000 tons
4. Equipment manufacturing and maintenance
Annual consumption of stainless steel pipe is more than 20000 tons. Sanitary or antibacterial stainless steel pipes are mainly used in this industry. The sanitary seamless tube made of imported SUS304 and 316L can meet the special requirements of various media in the food and biopharmaceutical fields. Antibacterial stainless steel has the advantages of stainless steel and good antibacterial performance, and its demand in kitchen equipment, workbenches and utensils in the food industry, medical instruments, tableware and towel hangers in daily life, brackets for refrigerated cabinets and other fields is increasing
