TP316Ti stainless steel welded pipe / TP316L stainless steel welded pipe

TP316Ti Stainless steel welded pipe is an austenitic stainless steel material, it belongs to the 316 series, contains titanium as a stabilizing element. This material is particularly suitable for use in high-temperature and corrosive environments, such as in the chemical, petroleum, food processing, pharmaceutical, and other industries. TP316Ti The titanium stabilization of stainless steel welded pipe helps to prevent intercrystalline corrosion, which is due to the strong affinity of titanium and carbon, and the preferential combination with carbon to form stable titanium carbide, so as to prevent the formation of chromium carbide at the grain boundary and protect the corrosion resistance of the material.

TP316Ti Features of stainless steel welded pipe:

Corrosion resistance: TP316Ti stainless steel welded pipe has excellent corrosion resistance, especially suitable for use in the environment containing chloride, such as seawater, the acidic environment of the chemical plant.
High temperature performance: this material can still maintain good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at high temperature.
Welding performance: TP316Ti stainless steel welded pipe has good welding performance, suitable for various welding processes, such as TIG (tungsten pole argon arc welding) and MIG (metal inert gas protection welding).
Anti-intercrystalline corrosion: Due to the addition of titanium, TP316Ti stainless steel welded pipe can resist intercrystalline corrosion, which is due to the strong affinity of titanium and carbon, preferentially combined with carbon to form a stable titanium carbide, so as to prevent the formation of chromium carbide at the grain boundary, and protect the corrosion resistance of the material.

    Production Engineering:

    Raw material preparation

Use TP316Ti stainless steel sheet or strip conforming to ASTM A249 or ASTM A312 standard as raw material.

    Shear and edge preparation

Sile plates or strips to appropriate sizes and process edges to ensure accurate docking during welding.

    Roll

The cut plate or strip roll into a tube.

    Welding

Weld the edges of tubes using welding techniques such as TIG or MIG.

    Heat treatment

After the welding is completed, the welded pipe is fixed by heat treatment to restore the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the material.

    Straighten and cut

Straighten and cut the welded pipe to achieve the desired size and shape.

    NDT

Conduct nondestructive testing such as ultrasonic testing or radiographic testing to ensure that the welded pipe is free of defects.

    Surface treatment

Surface-treat the welded pipes, such as pickling, passivation or polishing, to improve their corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

    Inspection and testing

Final inspection and testing of welded pipes, including dimensional inspection, pressure test and chemical composition analysis.

    Packaging and transportation

Qualified welded pipes are properly packed and ready for shipment.
Throughout the production process, manufacturers need to strictly comply with the relevant international and domestic standards to ensure product quality. TP316Ti Stainless steel welded pipes are widely used in many industrial fields because of their excellent performance.
