TP317H Stainless steel welded pipe

TP317H The manufacturing process of stainless steel welded pipes involves multiple steps to ensure that the quality of the final product meets specific industrial standards and application requirements.

The following is the general process for the production of TP317H stainless steel welded pipe:

    Raw material selection

Select TP317H stainless steel plate or strip meeting ASTM A213 standard as raw material. This material contains high chromium, nickel, and molybdenum to provide excellent corrosion resistance.

    Shear and Edge Preparation

The stainless steel sheet or strip is cut to appropriate dimensions and the edges are processed to ensure accurate docking during welding.

    Volume

This procedure is usually done by a dedicated pipe winding machine.

    Weld

The edges of the pipe are welded using welding techniques such as TIG (tungsten pole argon arc welding) or MIG (metal inert gas protective welding). During the welding process, ensure the quality of the weld joint to avoid defects.

    Heat treatment

After welding, the welded pipe is treated to restore the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the material. This step is usually performed in a protective atmosphere to prevent oxidation.

    Straightening

The welded pipe is straightened to ensure its straightness and dimensional accuracy.

    Slicing

Cut the welded tubes into specific lengths as required.

    Nondestructive Examination

Nondestructive testing, such as ultrasonic or radiographic, to ensure that the weld is free from defects.

    Surface preparation

Surwelded pipes, such as pickling, passivation or polishing, to improve their corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

    Inspection and testing

Final inspection and testing of the welded pipe, including dimensional inspection, pressure test and chemical composition analysis, are conducted to ensure that the product meets the standard requirements.

    Packaging and transportation

Qualified welded pipes are properly packed to protect their safety during transportation and are ready for shipment.
The whole production process requires strict quality control to ensure that the TP317H stainless steel welded pipe has good performance in high temperature and corrosive environment. During the production process, the manufacturers will usually follow the relevant international and domestic standards, such as ASTM A213, ASTM A312, etc., to ensure the product quality.
